damn rain delay

So Homer's national record streak continued yesterday. The baseball gods were again on their side - I mean how do you seriously win 74 games in a row in baseball?? I guess I saw why - lucky breaks.

In last night's game there was a 51 minute rain delay seperating the top and bottom half of the fourth inning with the Trojans down to Blissfield 3-1. Lucky enough for Homer they had plenty of time to regroup, considering the team was bickering with each other after being down. After the delay Blissfield didnt get a runner on base while Homer capitalized on a few errors to score four runs in the top of the sixth inning.

In a sense sometimes its better to be lucky than good - but there is no question Homer does have talent.

Anyways while making the hour and a half trip to Howell I got a chance to know my boss Sean better, since he rode with me up there. Here are things I found out

- He has an older sister and younger brother
- I knew he was 24 and from Monroe
- He is a big UConn basketball fan and likes Rip Hamilton
- He loves the casino
- He is taking classes at Siena Heights (one of the two colleges in Adrian)

There are a lot of other things I found out too which was pretty cool because we share some of the same interests, like same teams players and enjoy sporting events and such. I found it pretty cool that him and the news editor James got a chance to go inside Shea Stadium when they went on a weekend trip to New York and also all the ball parks hes been to. Its always been one of my dreams to go on a trip around the country to several major league stadiums

The ones I really want to hit that I havent been to are:
RFK Stadium - I gotta see my team the Nationals play, and plus I just love DC
Great American - Cincy seems like it would be a cool place to take in a game
Fenway Park - another classic ballpark, just like Wrigley Field which I totally love
PNC - Pittsburgh's ballpark - i hear its pretty nice

The ballparks I've been inside before are Comerica (obviously), Tiger Stadium, US Cellular and Wrigley. I've been right outside Jacobs Field, and driven past the Metrodome and Milwaukee's ball park (drawing a blank on the name)
