soccer

So yesterday I was out in Jackson/Parma covering a HS district soccer game and sure enough I ran into a familiar face. I saw Joe Hayes, a reporter I worked with at the Echo who was covering the game for the Jackson Citizen Patriot.

I knew he had worked at the paper and saw one of his soccer stories in the week so I had a feeling he might be out there and sure enough he was. So it was cool to talk with him throughout the first half and talk bout journalism, jobs, and EMU sports.

The team I was covering (Tecumseh) ended up losing 3-0 but it was closer than the score. Watching made me miss playing soccer so much and remembering my days as a high school soccer player. Boy did I wish I was out there playing and putting some moves on people.
